2012 Timpanogos Boy's Tennis Team

First off, we would like to congratulate all those for playing so hard at try-outs. We have thought long and hard about the multiple scenarios of who we could put on the team and all those who should be on the team. We have decided to officially adopt the No-cut Tennis Program of the United States Tennis Association. We will keep everyone that came to tryout. This does mean, for those of you who would've been cut, you might not get to play a "real" match all year. However, there will be intramural matches on Saturdays for those of you who do not get to play in real matches during the week. All players will be required to pay the $60 participation fee and purchase a uniform. If this is not okay with you and you wonder where you stand(if you will be playing matches or not), please do not hesitate to ask us. We do expect a 100% commitment from everyone on the team, regardless of their position. No-cut tennis is hard work for all of our coaches, and we would not be able to do it without our volunteers Jake, Kenny, and Dylan. When you get a chance, please thank them. Practice will be Monday and Wednesday at 3:30 and Tuesday, Thursday, Friday at 3:00. Tomorrow is the parent meeting at 6:00 pm and one parent of each student will be required to attend. We apologize, but we want to continue to have tryouts at 3:30 on the courts. The weather will be great until after 5 ish supposedly. We have more volunteers who can come and you can work out more there. If you planned on 5:00 and can't make it till then, please let us know and we will accommodate you. If courts are wet the we will stick with 5:00 gym time.

Sorry for all the updates but this weather is making things hard. We are moving tryouts to tomorrow in the big gym from 5 to 6:30, that way we can have the gym to ourselves. If anyone has any conflicts with the time please e-mail us. Glenzilla1@gmail.com

Tryouts are cancelled today. Its too hard to see basic shots in the gym so we are finishing them tomorrow. Same time 3:30-5. Remember to still get your physical today at timp from 5 to 7 for $20.

Tryouts will be today the 27th, and Tuesday the 28th from 3:30 to 5:00
Dress warm, if it rains or snows, we will be inside in the big gym.

Boys open tennis

For the next three weeks starting tomorrow the 7th we will be holding Open tennis for any boys wanting to try out for the team. Open tennis will be every Tuesday and Thursday 3 to 4 PM till tryouts on the 27th. Boys grades 9-12 are welcome.
